“Earl”

I retouched Earl. He looks better also.

“Wyatt”

I reworked a cowboy I painted in the past. Don’t use paint sparingly, or put canvas under glass.

“Wild Dogs”, a copy

I just retouched a painting I did long ago. Now I’m happy with it. The original was from a Southwestern Art magazine.

“Driving My Life Away” (2014)

I used to love to drive my old truck and listen to my country tapes. Waving to the truckers. Times have changed!! Pencil, 9x12.

“Debbie” (2014)

Portrait of my sister. It took some time, but I did it! Oil, 11x14. I'm glad she likes it.

“Captured Angel” (1988)

Oil. My favorite painting. My reference pictures were two ads in Seventeen magazine . My lady is longing to live in the country, but she can only go there in her imagination. I have the same desire. Dan Fogelberg is my favorite singer from the 70's and his song, "Captured Angel", just seems to be the right anthem and title for the painting.
